The latter was one I had been looking forward to read, since the reviews were incredibly...

Some candles, maybe some chocolate... Long story short, I figured a book that's labelled both mystery and thriller would be one I'd enjoy.

My mum's fiftieth birthday was months and months ago. One of her presents was a gift card for books, but since she has not read a book in ages (busy schedule, boyfriend and reading being a time-consuming activity, you know how it is), she generously handed the gift card to me.
